A dark cherry wood island with creme colored granite, white cabinets, and a wrought iron chandelier.

Sink area with cabinets. Per the client's request we matched the ceramic tile backsplash pattern with the creme granite.

The height of the kitchen allowed us to install a beautiful three piece crown moulding around the top of the cabinets. We also installed a brushed copper hood and high-end stainless steel range and stove which matched the granite and ceramic tiles in the rest of the kitchen.

Here we installed white cabinets and a dark granite coutertop with the same matching backsplashing.

These cabinets are actually a specially designed freezer and refrigerator system. We also installed a wine coolder with a faux cabinet front to make the faceplate match the rest of the kitchen.

This kitchen was just remodeled into this stunning dark, modern u-shape which is both beautiful and functional as well as very space-saving and practical. The dark wood cabinets and the black countertop contrast with the white walls, white backsplash, light floor, and stainless steel appliances to make this kitchen seem larger and roomier. The ceiling can lights are installed into an angled roof and give this kitchen a very clear, bright, but also subtle and natural ambient lighting.

This is the current kitchen remodeling project in progress. Our qualified, expert installers are preparing supports to install the cabinets in a level position. The finished result will be a beautiful and functional kitchen with straight and level cabinets that can easily be enjoyed for years. The granite countertop has not yet been installed and is usually the last step to be performed during any kitchen remodel.

The stainless steel dishwasher, wine cooler, oven, and refrigerator give this kitchen a clean and modern look. Note the different cabinet shapes above, between, and below all the appliances. We specifically helped the client pick out these shapes to accomodate their appliance selections and to ensure that their kitchen fully met their needs and desires.

Stainless steel range and hood and a stainless steel faucet mounted onto an undermounted stainless steel sink. The cabinet layout for this kitchen was chosen specifially to accomodate all of these appliances. Note the smaller cabinets above the hood, the double drawers under the range, and the measured corner cabinets. We always help clients plan and design their projects so that they always turn out correctly.

Here is a closer look at the hood and range combination from the previous picture. A kitchen remodel is always a great time to update your appliances, and likewise many people choose to remodel when they decide that it is time to upgrade their appliances. Stainless Steel is a popular choice as it is clean and cost-effective and won't stain or rust if used properly. It also gives every kitchen that clean, modern, and efficient look which always well complements the more traditional wood cabinets and natural granite counters which are also popular. |

This is the sink, faucet, countertop, and appliance corner of our finished kitchen remodel. You can see the ample amount of space provided by the large granite countertop and the professionally installed cabinets offer both a beautiful aesthetic as well as a great functional practicality to the whole kitchen. The double-sink make managing dishes a lot easier and a large granite countertop provides a lot of space for storage, cooking, or anything else you need to take care of inside your kitchen.

This remodeling project was completed in an apartment in downtown Chicago. The original kitchen was quite dated and this project came with the additional challenge of forcing us to work in and with a rather narrow space. This is the completed appliance center and we an see the refrigerator, stove, range, and microwave. The appliances are all modern stainless steel and the cabinets are a light maple with dark granite on top. 12"x12" ceramic tiles with white grout on the floor help provide a warm and natural ambience that complements the otherwise modern feel.

This is the view from the other side of the Chicago apartment kitchen remodeling project pictured above. We see the same style of light wood cabinets and dark granite countertops. As part of the remodel we also installed a stainless steel undermount double sink with stainless steel faucet head, a style which is very popular in kitchens today. Further on the left we see the dishwasher unit. The kitchen cabinets were also fitted with undermount lighting during the remodel to provide a soft ambient light during the evenings. During the day natural lighting is provided by the large window above the vents. Here we can also get a nice view of the ceramic floor tiles in both the electrical and natural light. |
This was the original layout of the kitchen we remodeled in the picture above. The cabinets are in moderate states of disrepair and we have an older range and older appliances on the left. The countertop is laminate and we can see the seams along the edges. At one point this would have been a nice modern kitchen (this look was popular in the late 80s early 90s) but the owners of this unit felt it was time to update their style with a 21st century face-lift.

This is the kitchen area from above completely gutted before any sort of remodeling has even begun. All the old cabinets and appliances have been removed and the only thing which remains is an access point for electrical and gas lines which will be used again to install the new appliances. Since this was a complete kitchen remodeling project we went all the way down the base layers of the walls and floors and performed all necessary repairs before moving forward to ensure everything was properly installed and would last for years to come.

After a complete and thorough gutting of the kitchen here we have finished installing new floor bases and have done some touch up and repair work to the drywall and walls behind where the old cabinets had been. At this point we are prepping the area for the cabinet installation and the rest of the remodeling work. We have begun to hang the cabinets which will enclose the refrigerator and border the hood and range. This is the typical work progression for a kitchen remodeling project that we would perform in downtown Chicago.

Here we have finished painting the kitchen wall and have finished installing the cabinets as well as part of the appliances. The floor is still unfinished but the largest and most important components of the project are starting to come together and the finished product is within sight.

This is a vertical view of the appliance side of the finished Chicago apartment kitchen remodeling project. The floor has been installed as have all the appliances. The granite countertop has also been installed on top of the cabinets which had previously just been open on top.

Here is the opposite view of what the kitchen that we are working on looked before we began our remodel. As we can see in this picture, the refrigerator had originally been on this side and a vertical oven combo had been in the spot where the refrigerator ended up after the remodel (see the photos above). Once again we can see some wear and tear on the cabinets and everything is completed in a style similar to that found on the other side. Just about everything in this phot will be gutted and this kitchen will end up being totally remodeled on both sides, top to bottom. |

This is the opposite side of the Chicago apartment kitchen remodeling project that we are working on. We have removed all the old cabinets as well as the old sink and refrigerator which had been here. We can still see some of the water lines and the old lighting. The three bulb lamp will ultimately be removed and more modern lighting will be installed.

The back walls have been patched up, sanded, and some preliminary painting has begun as we move along with our kitchen remodeling project. The back wall separating the kitchen from the walkway has also been removed as we can see from the last two pictures present on the right-hand side. The plumbing and electrical work has been upgraded andthe cabinets have already been hung. Similar to the other side, this is the usual work progression for most kitchen remodeling projects that we complete.

We are moving much closer to completing our kitchen remodeling project. Due to the limited amount of space in this downtown Chicago apartment kitchen area we use a lot of tall cabinets to maximize storage by utilizing as much vertical space as possible. Here we see a dishwasher installed and a depression is made for where the undermount sink will be installed. The one thing which is already completely finished here is the 12"x12" ceramic tile floor.

Our downtown Chicago apartment kitchen remodeling project is complete! We see the final undermount lighting and electrical switches are in place giving us a nice bright ambient glow. The cabinets which had already had their fronts installed are now finished with the final installation of the granite countertops. The double undermount stainless steel sink and stainless steel faucet are also in place officially marking the completion of our project.

Here we have a close-up of the stainless steel double undermount sink after our kitchen remodel is complete. This style of kitchen and sink is very popular in both suburban and urban areas. The stainless steel fixtures do not rust or stain if properly used and the granite counters are both heat and scratch resistant.

A closer look at the tile floor in our newly remodeled kitchen. This style of tiling is practical and gives the kitchen a warm and natural feeling. It allows for easy repairs as individual tiles can always be replaced if need be and the grout can always be re-applied to maintain a new and pristine look.

Here is a final combination shot of both sides of the kitchen we remodeled in this downtown Chicago apartment. We can see the matching styles of the light wood cabinets as well as the dark granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The large window at the end of the kitchen provides lots of natural light and undermount and ceiling lights provide the rest of the lighting to create a very bright, clean feel.

This kitchen was remodeled to feature stainless steel appliances, grey countertops, and light wood cabinets. Though there is only one window above the sink, the spacious layout and openings into the living room ensure that the kitchen will feel very light and open when used. The wet bar in the center offers a great spot to entertain and refresh guests and the open, circular style of the kitchen ensures that everything is wiith easy reach when you are cooking or hosting. The ceiling in this roof is angled up and fitted with can lights to ensure an open, light atmosphere even in the evening.

This is where most of the appliances and fixtures in this kitchen are located. The refrigerator is all the way on the right. The remodel was completed to create this nook where everything was within easy reach. Though the kitchen itself is very large and open, the plans we designed with our clients before remodeling ensured that this area was created to provide fast and short access to everything that was immediately neeeded while using this kitchen. This area also highlights the style of the kitchen as the stainless steel dishwasher, sink, oven, range, and microwave coupled with the light wood cabinets and granite countertops give this kitchen a fresh, modern look. The custom design backsplash also give a nice subtle, but sharp contrast with its while tiles and black carvings providing a nice complement to the light cabinets and dark countertops.

We see that the shape of this kitchen allows for a lot of maneuveing space in the middle and provides a nice comfortable open area that can accomodate several people. The fact that this kitchen has two entrances (one on the top, and one where the picture is being taken) ensures that it never gets crowded and provides a good flow for people to move when you're entertaining. Here we also get a closer look at the flooring. Tiles are always a popular choice for kitchen and we see that the large 12"x12" beige tiles with white grout create a neutral color pattern, which helps make the kitchen appear larger and lighter and also balances out the sharper contrast provided by the dark kitchen countertops and light wooden cabinets.

A close up of the wet bar shows us once again the great contrast between the light wood cabinets and the darker granite counters. The stainless steel appliances and undermount sink matches the look that is present in the rest of the kitchen and the white moulding along the floor give the wall and wet bar area a complete and elegant look. The wet bar opens right up into the living / dining room and is right next to one of the two entrance points ensure convenience in use and good party flow when entertaining guests.

This kitchen remodel features white wood cabinets, a light granite countertop, and a dark hardwood floor. The remodeling is not yet complete, but most of the kitchen features are in place. The lighting system on the ceiling and under the cabinets coupled with the light wood and granite countertops creates a very charming lighting effect.

This recently remodeled kitchen has light natural maple cabinets and a light grey granite countertop. The open kitchen wall facing the dining room with a second level granite countertop creates a larger, roomier, and more funtional kitchen.

Here we have a very light colored recently remodeled kitchen with white wooden cabinets and light grey granite countertops with matching ceramic tile backsplash with a custom design above the range.

This corner view shows that the remodeled kitchen features an undermount sink, a range with a hood and custom backsplash, and stainless steel fixtures.

This remodeled kitchen has dark granite and dark appliances surrounded by natural maple cabinets.

This kitchen was remodeled to include dark wood cabinets and a light granite countertop with a matching ceramic tile backsplash and floor.
